Welcome to Case Management
The COVID-19 Resources for Students is intended to help students connected with resources and services whether living locally in Boone, in North Carolina or nationally. This resources page will be updated regularly as Case Management learns about new and relevant resources. If you need assistance in connecting with any of these resources or locating additional support in your local area, please contact Case Management!
Case Management is a department within the Office of the Dean of Students that provides 360-degree immediate and intermediate, individualized support to students navigating a myriad of concerns. Some of these concerns may include but are not limited to academics, behavioral conduct, general welfare, interpersonal violence, health and wellness, and safety.
Case Managers are here to help identify on and off campus resources and information, and most importantly support your Appalachian experience.
If your student is navigating a significant personal event, has had a change in behavior, has expressed they are struggling, or you are concerned about their well-being or safety you are strongly encouraged to call the Office of the Dean of Students. If a student poses an immediate threat to self or others please call 911 or Appalachian State Police at 828-262-2150.
